Help Women With Cancer Discover Fearlessness
Pay Travel Expenses for CWFL scholarship attendees
Courageous Women, Fearless Living is a 5-day retreat that guides, teaches and empowers women who have been touched by cancer. The program provides attendees with life-long lessons and strategies to skillfully relate with fear, stress and pain, and to discover courage, relaxation and joy. Women from all over the world travel to attend the retreat here in the Red Feather Lakes, Colorado, but cancer can be incredibly expensive, even with insurance.
Your donation will allow women who have received scholarships, but cannot afford the additional cost of travel, to attend. It will positively impact their lives forever.
June 10, 2013
Four women with cancer - active or in remission - who have received scholarships, will have their travel expense paid, allowing them to attend the 2013 CWFL retreat. This Challenge will also allow CWFL to explore the viability of raising funds to sponsor attendees who need help with travel in the future.
Purchase 4 round-trip airline tickets. Since airfare varies, we are selecting a mid-range price of $350/round trip as our per person cost.
4 tickets at $350/ea - $1400
Extra Funds Use:
- The first $400 will be used to seed a future CWFL Challenge
- Additional funds will be used to purchase yoga equipment for the retreat’s classes
A cancer diagnosis can be the most devastating moment in any woman’s life and can lead to a whirlpool of fear and groundlessness.
Courageous Women, Fearless Living, run by Adana Barbieri with support from the Shambhala Mountain Center, helps women with cancer discover the courage to be fearless in the midst of their cancer journey.
